The Health Benefits of Reading Before Bed

Do you read before bed? I always try to read at least one chapter of whatever book I’m reading before I go to sleep. Reading before bed has many amazing benefits, but I personally like it because it allows me to clear my mind and prepare for the next day. 

Reading a book before bed can also:

  • Reduce stress

  • Minimize screen time

  • Help you get into a bedtime routine 

  • And it even counts as a form of meditation! 

I try to get my whole family to do this too. My kids will take 10-20 minutes each night and read a chapter or two of their books. Tyler and I will usually read personal development books, but I’ve been trying to get more into fiction and nonfiction.
